The combination municipal facility and civic center, remodeled in 2006, is often put to use by the community. Groups such as the Woodturners Club, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, an exercise club and others regularly use the community room for meetings and seminars.
Lakeview residents may reserve the room at no charge . Non-residents may also reserve the room but fees do apply.
$100 including the kitchen. $50 for the civic center without kitchen usage
Artists of Lakeview and surrounding areas may display their wall art in the Civic Center. The paintings are hung by city staff but are labeled with identification and pricing by the artists. Anyone wishing to purchase the art contacts the artist directly. Artists wishing to display paintings can leave them with Rebecca Barton during office hours.
The City Park adjacent to the the Municipal Center has a pavilion which is used throughout the late spring, summer, and early fall for family reunions, the Farmers’ Market and other events by individuals, groups and clubs who want a nice facility with grills, gardens, a walking trail, shade, tables, benches and clean restrooms.
The park rental fee is $100 for each day or part of a day. Rental fees do not apply to Lakeview residents. Fees must be paid before the scheduled event.
