Our community is blessed by the stunning beauty of the Ozarks, with breathtaking vistas in every direction and ample opportunities for every type of outdoor recreation. This is why our city has been dubbed “Paradise of the Ozarks.” Our residents have come from all over the nation to settle in this quiet, peaceful town. Those who visit here quickly come to sense the very special nature of this place.
Lakeview is a municipality of 1.1 square miles and 750 residents. It was incorporated in 1974. The Lloyd Travis Municipal Center, named for a former Mayor, serves as both the seat of local government and as the town’s park and activity center. Special events are held at the city park, a beautifully landscaped 8-acre campus which features picnic facilities including a pavilion, grills, clean restrooms and a walking path. The large hall where city council meets doubles as an activity center for a number of clubs and organizations. Both the hall and the park are available to rent for special occasions such as family reunions and wedding receptions.
